Privacy policy

This policy explains how Myanmar One Directory (the website mmonedir.com and the "MM One Dir" mobile app) collects, uses and protects your information.

What we collect

• Account: name, phone number and password (passwords are stored hashed and cannot be read by anyone).
• Businesses: the name, phone, address, opening hours, photos and map location you post.
• Reviews and chat: reviews and photos you post, and messages you send to businesses.
• Payments: transfer receipt screenshots and transaction numbers (visible to admins only). We do not collect card numbers or bank passwords.
• App notifications: your phone's push notification token, the platform (Android or iPhone) and the app language, so we can send notifications.
• Location: when you tap "Near me", used only to find nearby businesses and not stored. When an owner taps "Use my location", that point is saved as the business's map location.
• Photos and camera: only the pictures you choose are uploaded. We do not read other photos on your phone.
• Statistics: anonymous daily counts of views, calls and directions for each business.

How we use it

• Only to run the service, review listings, confirm payments and notify you.
• We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.

What other people can see

• Live business pages (name, phone, address, photos, opening hours).
• Your name and review on reviews you post. Your personal phone number is not shown.
• Chat messages are visible only to you and that business owner.

Third-party services

• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: sends push notifications to the app (notification token and message text).
• Google Maps, Viber and Facebook buttons open those apps or websites, which follow their own policies.

Deleting your account and data

• Delete your account at any time in the app (Me → Delete account) or on the website at mmonedir.com/account/delete.
• Your account, businesses, photos, reviews, chats and payment records are deleted immediately. Copies in server backups are removed within 30 days.
• If you forgot your password, contact the admin from "Help" and ask for deletion.

Security

All data is sent over HTTPS. Payment receipts are kept where only admins can see them.

Children

The service is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date on this page, and we tell you in the app about important changes.
